This long-form brand documentary for Focusrite explores the remarkable history of the legendary Focusrite ISA preamp.

The film traces the company origins back to the custom ISA110 preamps designed by Rupert Neve for Sir George Martin’s AIR Studios Montserrat, and follows the legacy of one of the most respected names in professional audio.

The film took us across the UK and United States, where we uncovered rare pieces of Focusrite history, including the restored Focusrite Studio Console #5 (the largest ever built), the original ISA110 preamps at AIR Studios Lyndhurst, and tracked down the elusive Focusrite Forte consoles, of which only two were ever made. We also visited Real World Studios to explore how modern ISA preamps, still sharing the very same design philosophy as Rupert’s original 110s, continue to influence professional recording today.
