Filming for Education

We’ve built a reputation for producing high-quality content for educational establishments. In recent years we have worked side-by-side with McGill University on a wide range of video projects. Scripted promos, event coverage, interviews with students, professors and dignitaries - the day-to-day video needs of a university are as vast as they are varied.

Interviews.

From quick and easy down-the-lens teleprompter setups, to more elaborate multi-camera sit-down interviews, we have filmed a shocking number of them. We always go out of our way to seek out the coolest interview spots and, as is sometimes the case, know how to make the best of a less-than perfect conference room.

Driven by story.

If there’s one thing we like doing above all else it’s making videos that tell stories. Summarizing a piece of ground-breaking research, celebrating the life-long contributions of university alumni, or sharing the notable achievements of graduate students and professors, we love pulling out all the stops to make something that is thoroughly enjoyable to watch.

Simulations & teaching.

Nursing scenarios, medical trauma, physio do’s and don’ts. The McGill University simulation rooms have such an incredible level of realism, it can be hard to imagine you’re not in the middle of a real-life situation. We have a lot of experience shooting and editing this type of scripted, simulated material. Multiple actors, multiple microphones, multiple coffees.. lights, cameras, action!

Keeping it fresh.

Maintaining a fresh pool of b-roll has been an integral part of our mandate with McGill. From sweeping shots of the campus to newly installed high-tech equipment and facilities. For future-proof content, we shoot with high-resolution 4K cine cameras mounted on gimbal stabilizers.
